Mobile Web app makes personnel accountability easier
The Air Force Personnel Accountability and Assessment System (AFPAAS) has made the news! A web application I had help design and develop for the Air Force has now become a mobile application. It all started during Hurricane Katrina and the development of the Navy Family Accountability and Assessment System. The Navy was facing the 5th worst natural disaster in American history, and the Navy did not know the where abouts of their personnel and their family members. I helped write the mission statement seen on the login page:
“Navy Family Accountability and Assessment System (NFAAS) standardizes a method for the Navy to account, assess, manage, and monitor the recovery process for personnel and their families affected and/or scattered by a wide-spread catastrophic event. NFAAS provides valuable information to all levels of the Navy chain of command, allowing commanders to make strategic decisions which facilitate a return to stability.”
It’s nice to see the team I worked with continue to build upon the past successes we achieved with NFAAS.
